Important Notice

USYS Age Group Change for 2026-27

Starting this season, US Youth Soccer is shifting age groups from calendar year (Jan–Dec) to school year (Aug–Jul) to align players with their school grade peers.

What this means for your player:

  • Players born Aug 1 – Dec 31 will generally move down one age group from where they played last year.
  • Players born Jan 1 – Jul 31 stay in their expected age group but may have new teammates born up to seven months earlier.

Your player’s age group will be calculated automatically based on their date of birth.

Check Your Player’s Age Group →

Note: The Ohio Soccer Association (OSA) places teams based on birth years, not grade levels. While DC CRU allows players to compete one year up, we do not permit players to play down levels.

Coaching Staff & Age Groups (Fall 26/27)

Final age groupings will be confirmed once registration closes and rosters are formed. The following are our planned teams for Fall 26/27:

U15 — Head Coach: Micah Carroll

Roster: Min 14 / Max 18 players

Note: Currently not accepting first-year players.

U12 — Head Coach: TBD

Roster: Min 12 / Max 16 players

Note: Currently not accepting first-year players.

U10 — Head Coach: Daniel Bucklew

Roster: Min 10 / Max 14 players

U9 — Head Coach: Chris Voltz

Roster: Min 10 / Max 14 players

Note: Incoming 2nd graders who meet age requirements may be considered for U8, at the coach’s discretion.

A minimum roster size is required to field a team. If a particular age group does not reach its minimum, players may be combined with another age group or referred to a partner club.

Season Timeline (Fall 26/27)
  • Practices Begin: July 2026 — specific start dates and schedules will be communicated by your team coach.
  • First Official Games: Mid-August 2026
  • OSA Tournament: Date TBD — determined by team vote during registration.
  • Season End / Recognition Ceremony: Date TBD
  • Team Photos: Date TBD
Practice & Game Schedule
  • Practice Days: Determined by each team’s coach. We recommend two practices per week for U12 and younger.
  • Practice Times: Most practices start around 5:00 PM to accommodate our volunteer coaches’ work schedules.
  • Field Location: Practices and home games will be held at SouthBrook Church. Locations may shift week to week due to weather, and any changes will be communicated by your coach.
  • Games: Each team plays 8 league games per season (4 at home). We avoid scheduling on Wednesdays and Sundays when possible.
Why Try Out for DC CRU?

Whether your daughter is a seasoned player or just considering the sport, DC CRU is a great place to start.

  • Experience the Game: Even if she’s not sure soccer is for her, registration is a great way to get a feel for the game and see what it’s all about.
  • Meet New Friends: Soccer isn’t just about the game — it’s about teamwork and camaraderie. Come meet like-minded girls and make lasting friendships.
  • Improve Skills: Our coaches provide valuable feedback to help every player grow, regardless of current skill level.
  • Have Fun: Above all, our season is designed to be engaging and meaningful. Every player should enjoy the experience and feel welcomed.

You don’t need to have made a final decision about playing soccer to register. We encourage every interested family to give it a try and see how it goes — she might discover a new passion.

Season Fee & What’s Included (Starting at $325)

Season fees start at $325 per player.

Final pricing is subject to change based on program size and may vary between Boys and Girls programs. The exact fee will be confirmed in your June invoice once team rosters are finalized.

The season fee includes:

  • Full uniforms
  • Field lining and maintenance
  • League and registration fees
  • Player carding through Ohio Soccer Association
  • Referee fees
  • Training materials
  • 1 OSA-sanctioned invitational tournament
  • End-of-season recognition ceremony

Note: Additional events or tournaments outside of the season may require separate registration and payment.

We are committed to making select-level soccer accessible to families. Our season fees are significantly lower than most select clubs in the region — often by a wide margin — without compromising the quality of coaching, equipment, or experience.

  • $0 Due at Registration: The season fee will be invoiced in June, when team rostering begins.
  • Online Payment Only: All payments must be made through the GotSport registration platform.
  • Installment Plans Available: Pay in Full or 2-Payment Plan options will be offered when invoices are sent.
