Evaluation Dates

  • Targeting weekend of 9/20 or 9/27. Each grade will have one evaluation day and will run for an hour and a half. The format again will be DC Varsity staff evaluating while projected youth coaches help run drills and keep order.
  • Players will be placed on a “Select Team” (Dayton Metro League) or a “Development Team” (Kingdom League). During registration you will have the option to opt out of consideration for the “Select Team”.
  • With the Boys program we typically will have enough per grade to fill out a “Dayton Metro Team” and a “Kingdom Team”.

Roster Placement

  • Families will be notified by email the roster their child was placed on the following  Friday after evaluations.
  • Families will have until 10/09/2024 to request a full refund should they choose not to participate
  • Cost for the Kingdom Team: $225 (collected at Registration)
  • Cost for Dayton Metro Teams: $315
  • Additional charge of $90 will be invoiced after roster announcements for Metro teams.
  • In the past Metro costs and Kingdom costs were the same. This year our Metro team will move to a practice schedule that more mirrors other select programs in the area. Moving to a twice a week practice for 1.5hrs instead of one practice a week. Kingdom teams will remain practicing once a week during the season for 1.5hrs.

Key Differences:

  • Competitive Focus: The Dayton Metro League is known for its higher level of competition, making it ideal for players seeking intense, skill-focused play. In contrast, the Kingdom League offers a more balanced approach, blending competition with a strong focus on character and community.
  • Developmental Emphasis: While both leagues prioritize player development, the Dayton Metro League leans more towards honing athletic skills, whereas the Kingdom League equally values personal and social development alongside athletic growth.

We are confident that our participation in these leagues will provide your children with diverse opportunities to grow and excel in their sports journey. Our dedicated coaches and staff are here to support your young athletes every step of the way.

Thank you for choosing the DC CRU sports program. We look forward to an exciting and successful season ahead!

Warm regards,

Mark Stusek
